RBeginners Advanced  Mokuhanga: Building Skills and Confidence

March 19/20/21st 

This three-day course is designed for learners who have completed an introductory mokuhanga course and would like to develop their skills further. It provides an opportunity to revisit and strengthen the fundamental processes of Japanese woodblock printing while introducing a wider range of techniques and approaches.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between carving, printing, colour, moisture, and paper, while working on a more ambitious print project than is usually possible during a beginner's course. The emphasis is on developing confidence, improving technical control, and gaining a better understanding of the creative possibilities of mokuhanga.
