Kernow Mokuhanga Studios
Nestled within the creative community at Krowji Studios, Kernow Mokuhanga Studios is a fully equipped space dedicated to the art and craft of Japanese woodblock printing (Mokuhanga). Housed in a thoughtfully converted shipping container. Run by woodblock pritnmaker Adrian Holmes ,the studio provides an intimate and focused environment for up to four participants, allowing for plenty of individual workspace and hands-on guidance.
Designed specifically for mokuhanga, the studio is equipped with traditional Japanese tools, including professional-grade carving knives, barens, and brushes, as well as a full range of water-based pigments and high-quality washi papers. The workbenches are arranged to make the most of the natural light, complemented by adjustable daylight lamps to ensure clear visibility and colour accuracy throughout the day.
