Adrian Holmes will show you the wonderful art of Japanese woodblock printing. Traditional Japanese woodblock printing is a beautiful and meditative print process using watercolours and rice. Green and environmentally friendly, it uses non-toxic materials to create rich organic prints which are beautiful to the eye. This form of printing requires no printing press and is all done manually giving the artist complete freedom and control. Enjoy this opportunity to learn in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and create a beautiful finished woodblock print.

Adrian is a multi disciplinary artist whose primary focus is woodblock printing. He fell in love with the art of printing when living in Japan and began to study this beautiful craft and its various techniques.

„ I’m fascinated by its versatility, openness and process. It’s a medium which allows for so many possibilities and a medium which I find helps me to convey my thoughts, ideas, and feelings towards life, nature and the world around us”
